The Maslak McLeod Gallery has operated a fine art gallery dealing in Canadian Art for over thirty years. The gallery specializes in Native art - Woodland, Inuit, Plains and Maritime. Artists' works represented by the gallery include: Norval Morrisseau, Roy Thomas, Joseph Jacobs, Carl Beam, David Ruben Piqtoukun, Lucy Tasseor Tutsweetok, Kiawak Ashoona, Nuna Parr, Floyd Kuptana, Alfred G. Villeneuve, Ahmoo Angeconeb, Clifford Maracle, Adam Alorut, and Simon Tookoome among many others. The atmosphere is scholarly, friendly and our knowledge is detailed. The Gallery has been instumental in bringing Canadian Indigenous art to Germany, Italy, Brazil and the United States in exhibitions - Volkunder Museum Munich, Germany; Exposicao de art Indigena Belo Horizonte, Brazil; The Institute of American Indian Art in The Governors Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico among others. |
