First Morning - Silver Lake, Bonnechere Valley
A friend (GC) had been invited out to the Durst farm on Silver Lake and happily invited me as well. It's a small but beautiful lake nestled in rolling hills. Lilli had shown me pictures of the land before they owned it and it looked barren from logging and not at all the garden of beautiful trees and shrubs that now have taken over. I admire her pluck and work ethic and I think it is reflected in how she keeps the farm in a balance between forest and farm. We went and walked along one side of the lake and I dedicated this work to her stewardship of a land once wounded, and now recovered.
