Christian Morrisseau

Christian Morrisseau is the youngest child of world renown First Nations artist Norval Morrisseau’s seven children with Harriet Morrisseau. Norval Morrisseau has 18 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren by true blood line. Christian is the second child to follow in his father’s artistic footsteps and is an accomplished artist in his own right.

His love of this art style was passed down to him by his father, Norval, who in turn learned from his grandfather, Potan, a well known and respected traditional Shaman of the Annishnabe people. Christian studied intensely under his father’s spiritual and technical guidance. He spent months listening to his father’s teachings and subsequently began painting in May, 2002.
