Observations: A comic and wildly convoluted piece - Maracle has no particular political axe to grind. The catches the dog at a moment in time for no other reason than that single moment - the dog is a snapshot of lethargy and comfort, and so is magical-realistically transformed into that symbol of domestic tranquility, the housecoat.
