John Laford

John Laford"s work deals with Native tradition as well as the supernatural. His paintings exude a calmness of structure. Laford is influenced by both Carl Ray and Norval Morrisseau. Being the cousin to Carl Beam exposed him to a wide scope of the artistic landscape.

Education

John Laford considers himself self taught. He also studied at Algonquin College in Pembroke Ontario. He has personally studied the ancient pictographs of his ancestors.
