Observations: An important early Morrisseau, dating from the 1960s. Museum Mounted. Mishipeshoo is the god of water, considered dangerous by the Anishinawbe, and affiliated with women. The theme comes directly from the petroglyphs of Lake Nipigon, visited by Norval and Selwyn Dewdney and documented in their book 'Legends of My People.'
