The chromatic movement away from the simplified schemes of the petroglyphs is underway here, as Morrisseau diversifies his palette. The structure of the painting is completely free-flowing, without under-drawing, and depicts the reliance of Canada's first peoples on naturally found game for sustenance, and the symbiotic relationship between humans and animals.
