Adam Alorut

Adam is the son of renowned Inuit sculptor Morris Alorut, and a member of the Igloolik community. He currently resides in Ottawa.

A young artist following the family tradition, Adam has already garnered attention for his distinctive approach to traditional themes. His work mines Inuit mythology for its inspiration, retelling stories of transformation and metamorphosis.

Honours

Shaman Transformation (2008) was selected for addition by the Canadian Art Bank.
