Observations: Classic early female torso by Ooviloo, reminiscent of Greek statuary in its simplified form and the absence of arms. She is considered one of the great woman sculptors of the Inuit art world, working in both Southern Canada and Nunavut. Her imagery is diverse, ranging from dissembled torsos to children fearfully viewing hat-wearing women, their hats morphing into frightening helmets.
